This Monday starts THANKSGIVING WEEK!! If you couldn't tell, it's by far one of our favorite holidays. I mean come on, who doesn't love a holiday centered around carbs and football?!? Ok, ok, I know it's about more than that :) We are so ready to spend time with family and reflect on how lucky we are everyday! This weekend we decided to gear up for the fast approaching winter (blah!) and this amazing holiday (woop, woop!). While Will & his beard were out cutting wood for our fireplace, I sat and got to work on anything & everything photo related. A couple things we figured out this weekend:
- Babies are pretty cool. Leslie and Shannon became parents this week, and on Friday we got to stop by the hospital and meet their beautiful baby boy! Are they not the sweetest little family?!
- Raking the leaves in Fall is way better than waiting for Spring. Our first year of home ownership was filled with plenty of mishaps and ignoring the leaves in our yard was one of them. This year we opted for a leaf-free yard. I know, an odd concept, but we are enjoying it.
- Saturday workdays make me happy. Having an entire Saturday sitting with a Macbook might not sound fun to many, but I was so thankful to have an entire day to cross items off my growing list. Running a photography business outside of a 40 hour work week is a blessing and a curse. We are so thankful for the stability of our "day" jobs, but the to-dos have a way of building up Monday-Friday!
- Stuffing is NOT a seasonal food.... This less of a learning and more of a movement I would like to start... Who's with me?! Let's join together and make stuffing an everyday dish! We can do it!!
On Sunday, I convinced Will to take a few new head-shots for me and then convinced him to get behind the camera for one as well! :) !
