I feel like I'm very greedy. Every time Monday rolls around I always feel like I could have used another weekend day. We have done so much since Friday at 5pm, but for some reason I feel like we just need "one more day" to relax. This weekend, we traveled down to Charlotte, NC to visit Will's folks and the time went by too fast! Regardless of my greedy weekend tendencies, we are thankful for our couple days with family. A couple things I learned this weekend:
- CHRISTIAN AND B ARE ENGAGED!!!!! Ok, ok, I knew this weeks ago but now that all family is notified, I can finally shout it from the roof tops!! Luckily for Christian and B, there are not many places in Blacksburg where you can actually get to the roof top to do this. Christian is the youngest Bulloss brother and we are so happy for him and B to have "a ring on it"... plus it's super pretty right?!?
- Hallmark movies do not need sound... We decided that turning on the sound to the Hallmark movie premier would distract from conversation so we put the movie on mute. Instead of deterring us from watching the show however, turning off the sound only gave us the motivation to guess the plot, scene by scene... Oddly enough we were 100% accurate.
- Power outages cannot deter good times. Although the power was out Saturday night, we had no problem throwing on a couple headlamps, lighting a few candles, and enjoying the little surprise.
Here are a couple random photos from our wonderful weekend:
Our Hallmark movie guessing game... don't worry yall, everything ends with a Christmas miracle.
This photo does not show it, but our dinner table was full of uncontrollable laughter, ya know, the kind where your sides hurt at the end.
We had dinner at the grandparents house. When we returned to home of the Bulloss parents, the power was out...
So we lit a candles, quickly grabbed a couple beers out of the fridge, and enjoyed company...
This only took 5 tries...
