They say it is good luck for it to rain on your wedding day. Well, I think it is really good luck if the rain holds off until after pictures, and that is just what the showers did for us this past Sunday! Cheers! Kelly and David met in high school, yes high school, and they finally said "I do" on Sunday! It was such a beautiful day and evening filled with bright pinks, navy blues, and glittery gold. What I loved even more than that rocking color pallet was all the family heirlooms that Kelly and David included in their big day. From Kelly's jewelry to David's groomsmen gift, their were pieces that had been passed down for generations!! It was just so sweet to not only see their own love that had grown for years and years but also love that had been shared by so many family members.
As I was photographing Kelly's details, I heard laughter bounding down the hall way. Soon after, Kelly and her five bridesmaids came through the door full of excitement and energy. They toasted glasses, danced to a couple songs (oh hey NSYNC, you might be making a come back!), and threw their hands up in the air! I am sharing this little piece of the wedding day with you because I think it perfectly describes the crazy happiness that was radiating through every moment of the day. It makes me so happy to share some of the captured memories from such a wonderful day!
Totally in love with all the bright colors!!!
She wore her grandmother's brooch...
Gah!! So beautiful!
David's gift to his groomsmen... I think they liked it! ;)
I loved the little touches of pink and navy included in the ceremony!
They are just too adorable...
Their wedding party rocked some pictures!
I love their enthusiasm!
Just wow... Kelly you are stunning!
Off to the reception...
Gold, blue, and pink?? Yes please!!
These fellow Hokies wanted their guests to shake keys to signal the bride and groom to kiss instead of striking glasses... we definitely approve... :)
The sun went down and the dance party got started!
