It's that time of year again! Everyone is setting goals for the new year in hopes to get motivated and just be better. The idea that you can get a new start every 365 is as great as it is silly. I don't know why increasing the year by a single digit makes me feel that I have been gifted with a new chance to improve, but I totally feel it! Whether warranted or not, I'm glad for the freshness that the new year carries and plan to put that sweet energy into good use. 2015 is already promising to be so wonderful for us personally and professionally, but I wouldn't feel right if I didn't set meaningful, measurable, and manageable goals to push us even further!
Business goals for 2015:
Blog 3-5 times a week. This is a big one! We would like to blog M-F with meaningful, exciting content. During our off season we plan to keep up with blogging 3 times a week and then move to blogging closer to 5 times a week during our busy season! Gah! How fun! :)
Attend 1 workshop. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. You can never know it all! Learning from fellow photographers is such a joy. Will has not attended a workshop with me before and it would be such a blessing to share that fun with him.
Set up a mentoring program. Just as much as I enjoy learning from others, I also love sharing with others! We have been quietly mentoring by request, but would love to start advertising this service in the new year!!
Partner with other wedding vendors for 2 styled shoots. Special projects like styled shoots are such a wonderful way to grow in the community as well as stylistically push out of our comfort zone! If you also have this as a goal, let's chat!
Streamline our workflow & process. Sometimes I feel like this is a never ending battle, but we keep chipping away at the workflow monster. What keeps us going is knowing that having a streamlined process won't only help us, but it will also help our clients. The better our workflow & communication of that workflow, the better their experience!
Book 15 weddings. I feel this is very realistic, and would set us up for a great second season! Feel free to give us a shout out if you have someone in your life that can't stop looking at the shiny new ring on their left hand! ;)
