Weekend Cocktails

The more I read the Mr. Boston: Official Bartender’s Guide the less that I feel that I know anything about liquor drinks. I have been to the bars and I have been to the ABC store my fair share (maybe more than my fair share!) but some of the ingredients in this book, I have never heard of! I guess it's time for me to get past the thought that all cocktails are just varieties of fruit juice and vodka! Considering I tried a martini and old-fashioned at our last cocktail night attempt and couldn't finish either, I had a bottle of wine waiting just in case. Don't get me wrong,  I desperately wanted to like both of those drinks because I feel they would elevate me to a whole new level of coolness BUT that is not going to happen any time soon... Elizabeth agreed. Will and Christian promised to find a cocktail that Elizabeth and I would love to drink and searched through the book, finding like 40 that they said we couldn't hate even if we tried. Challenge accepted! :)

Well Will did it! The first thing that he passed over to us was probably the best cocktail that I had ever had!! No lie. Elizabeth and I did not mind kicking back while the guys squeezed lemons and cut strawberries and passed over drinks every now and again. We could get used to that!!

The best cocktail that has ever existed...

These two are total dog lovers!! Like could not get enough of our pups...

Christian and Elizabeth brought AMAZING desserts over from Our Daily Bread...

Did I mention how photographers are super cooperative when getting their pictures taken...

Feel free to check out our home bar here.
